Terms of Service of Techtronics Company

These terms are the agreement between you and Techtronics Company (“we”, “us”) for using this website, techtronicscompany.com, and LectureCam.

By creating an account or using LectureCam, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. About these terms

These terms cover this website and LectureCam, our apps and the service behind them. They apply together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information.

2. Your account

You need an account to use LectureCam. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us at techtronics.co@gmail.com if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Your plan sets how many devices can be signed in at once.

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms or have a parent or guardian's permission.

3. Using LectureCam

We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use LectureCam for your own study and work, as long as you follow these terms. You agree not to:

upload anything illegal, or anything you do not have the right to upload;
upload images of other people without their consent, or content that is sexual, violent, hateful or harassing;
use LectureCam to cheat in a way your school or course does not allow;
try to break, overload, probe or get around the security or limits of the service;
copy, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product;
use someone else's account, or share yours in a way your plan does not allow.

4. Your content

Your photos and notes belong to you. So that we can run the service, you give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content, including sending it to our AI provider to produce your notes, only as needed to provide LectureCam to you. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account, apart from copies we must keep for legal reasons and backups that expire on their own schedule.

You are responsible for having the right to photograph and upload what you capture. Lecture and presentation materials may belong to your lecturer, institution or employer, so follow their rules about recording and sharing them.

5. AI-generated notes

Notes, summaries and diagrams are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important against the original material before relying on it. LectureCam is a study aid, not a substitute for your course, your lecturers or professional advice.

6. Plans and payments

The free plan comes with the limits shown in the app, such as a monthly number of snaps and notes. Monthly allowances reset on the first of each month.
Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel at any time; you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for. Moving to a bigger plan applies straight away and you pay the difference for the rest of the period; moving to a smaller one applies at your next renewal.
If a free trial is offered, it is for one account only, a payment method is required to start it, and you will be charged when it ends unless you cancel before then. During a trial the smaller trial allowance shown in the app applies.
Top-up packs are one-off purchases of extra snaps and notes for a paid plan. Your plan's own allowance is used first. Unused top-up credits expire 12 months after purchase.
Prices on our website and desktop app are in Malaysian ringgit. If you pay in another currency, our payment provider converts the amount at its own rate, which is shown before you pay.
Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are managed, cancelled and refunded under that store's rules.
We may change prices. We will tell you in advance, and a new price applies from your next renewal.

7. Suspension and closing your account

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or exposes us to legal liability. Where we can, we will tell you why. A suspension blocks access; it does not delete your notes. If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal from the suspension screen and a person will review it.

You can stop using LectureCam at any time. You can delete your account from the app's settings, which removes your notes, photos and account data and cancels any subscription bought from us; subscriptions bought through an app store must be cancelled with that store. You can also ask us to close your account at techtronics.co@gmail.com. The steps are on our Support page.

8. Changes to the service

We are always improving LectureCam, which means features may be added, changed or removed. If we make a change that significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you first.

9. Our software and brand

LectureCam, its software and design, and the names and logos of Techtronics Company and LectureCam belong to us or to those who license them to us. These terms give you a right to use the apps; they do not transfer ownership of them to you.

10. App stores

If you download LectureCam from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and Techtronics Company only, not Apple or Google. We, not the store, are responsible for LectureCam and its content, for support and maintenance, and for handling any claim about it. The store has no obligation to provide support for the app.

Your use of the app must also follow the store's own terms. Where Apple's terms require it, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you as a user of the iOS app.

11. Disclaimers

LectureCam and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, or that notes LectureCam generates will be accurate. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Exports are there for that.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Techtronics Company is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, where LectureCam is operated from, and any dispute will be brought in the courts of Malaysia, except where the law of the place you live gives you protections, or a right to bring a claim at home, that cannot be waived.

14. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use LectureCam after that means you accept the new terms.
