Techtronics Company (“we”, “us”) is the operator of this website, techtronicscompany.com, and of LectureCam.
This policy explains what Techtronics Company collects when you use this website or LectureCam, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to techtronicscompany.com and to LectureCam on phone, tablet and desktop.

1. Who we are
Techtronics Company is a software and digital solutions company based in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. We make LectureCam, which turns photographs of lecture boards and slides into structured study notes through our phone, tablet and desktop apps.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at techtronics.co@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
On this website
This website has no sign-in, no forms, no cookies, and no analytics or advertising trackers. Like any website, the servers that host it keep standard logs for security and troubleshooting: your IP address, your browser type, the pages requested and the time. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write.
In LectureCam
- Your account. Your email address, your name if you give one, and how you sign in: a password (stored only as a secure hash), Google, or a passkey. Passkeys stay on your device; we store only the public half.
- What you create. The photos you take or upload, the notes, diagrams and summaries made from them, and how you organise them into subjects, chapters and terms.
- How you use the service. How many snaps and notes you have used this month, which devices are signed in to your account, your notification settings, and basic technical information such as app version and error reports. If you allow notifications, we store your device's push token, encrypted.
- Payments. If you subscribe or buy a top-up on our website or desktop app, payment is handled by Stripe, our payment provider; through the App Store or Google Play, by that store. They receive your card details. We never do. We receive your plan, its status, its renewal date and the payments made.
- When you contact us. Messages you send us, including appeals and any files you attach to them.
3. App permissions
| Permission | Why LectureCam asks for it |
|---|---|
| Camera | To photograph the whiteboard or slides. A photo is taken only when you press capture. |
| Photos | To import pictures you have already taken. LectureCam sees only the pictures you choose. |
| Notifications | To send the notifications you have turned on. You can turn them off at any time. |
LectureCam does not ask for access to your microphone.
4. How we use it
- To run the service: turning your photos into notes, keeping your library in sync across devices, and letting you export it.
- To keep your account secure, including limiting how many devices can be signed in on your plan.
- To apply your plan's limits and process your subscription.
- To keep the service safe: uploaded images and text are checked, partly automatically, for content that breaks our Terms of Service. A person reviews decisions when you appeal.
- To contact you about your account, and to send notifications you have turned on.
- To understand and improve how the service works, using usage figures and not the content of your notes.
5. AI processing
Making a note from your photos means sending the photos, and the text read from them, to the AI provider we use to generate it. We send only what is needed to produce your note. We do not sell your photos or notes, and we do not use them to train AI models.
6. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run our products, and only for that purpose:
| Provider | What it does for us |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosting, database and file storage for LectureCam |
| OpenAI | AI processing that writes your notes |
| Stripe | Payments made on our website or desktop app |
| Apple App Store and Google Play | Purchases you make in those stores |
| Expo | Delivery of push notifications |
| Hostinger | Hosting of our websites |
| Our support email (Gmail) | |
| Email delivery service | Sending account emails such as sign-in links and receipts |
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show you third-party advertising.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account and your content for as long as your account is open. Notes you delete go to the trash and are recoverable for 30 days, after which they are permanently removed.
If you close your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep something longer to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute or enforce our terms. Backups expire on their own schedule.
8. Security
Information is encrypted in transit, secrets such as access tokens are encrypted at rest, and access to your data is restricted to your own account by the database itself. No service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password or a passkey, and tell us at once if you think your account has been compromised.
9. Your choices and rights
- See and correct your account details in the app's settings.
- Take your notes with you using the export and download options.
- Delete individual notes at any time, or delete your whole account from the app's settings. The steps are on our Support page. You can also ask us to close your account and delete your data by writing to techtronics.co@gmail.com.
- Turn off notifications in the app or in your device's settings.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to how it is used, to receive a copy of it, and to complain to a data protection authority. Write to techtronics.co@gmail.com and we will respond within the time the law allows.
LectureCam is operated from Malaysia. If you are in Malaysia, the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 gives you the right to access and correct your personal data and to withdraw consent to its processing. This notice is provided to you before or at the time your data is collected, and you can ask us for a copy in Bahasa Malaysia.
10. Children
LectureCam is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use LectureCam with a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the law requires for such transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
